Here's the Good Stuff

Neiman-Marcus Cookies

(Recipe may be halved)
2 Cups butter
24 oz. chocolate chips
4 Cups flour
2 Cups brown sugar
1 8oz. Hershey Bar (grated)
5 Cups blended oatmeal
4 Eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
3 Cups chopped nuts (your-choice)

Measure oatmeal, and blend in a blender to a fine powder.  Cream the butter and both sugars.  Add eggs and vanilla, mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda.  Add chocolate chips, Hershey Bar, and nuts.  Roll into balls, and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet.  Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.  Makes 112 cookies.

Snicker Cake

1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix (with pudding in it)
1/3 Cup evaporated milk
1 cube butter or margarine
1 14oz. pkg. caramels
1 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1 Cup chopped nuts

Mix cake as directed on box.  Pour 1/2 of the batter into a greased and floured pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.  Combine milk, butter, caramels in sauce pan over medium heat until melted, stirring constantly.  Pour over baked cake.  Stir chocolate chips and nuts into remaining batter, then pour over caramel mixture.  Bake at 250 degrees for 20 minutes, then 350 degrees for 10 minutes, or until done.
